Seven sins. Seven songs. Quite a lot of trouble.

I made Seven Deadly Spells around seven things we’re taught we should be ashamed of.

Pride. Wrath. Envy. Greed. Gluttony. Sloth. Lust.

I never really believed any of them were that simple.

This album pulls at religion, guilt, anger, temptation, rebellion and all those parts of ourselves we’re usually expected to keep quiet. Sometimes it’s serious. Sometimes it’s blasphemous. Sometimes I’m very obviously taking the piss.

It also became the album that introduced a lot of you to this whole strange little world.

From Fuck Being a Princess and The Devil Made Me Do It to Blood & Fire, Sinner and Hallelujah I Refuse Ya, these are songs for anybody who has ever been told they were too loud, too angry, too difficult or simply too much.

Turns out, too much is quite a nice place to be.
